Raccolta di foto dalla mostra dedicata all'artista Chiharu Shiota (al MAO dí Torino) 'The Soul Trembles' attraverso alcune installazioni ambientali, con ricordi, emozioni, immagini e visioni oniriche.
I fili rossi e poi neri si ingarbugliano s'intrecciano si spezzano, riflettono uno stato mentale dell'artista. Un' immersione in cui la fascinazione si alterna all'inquietudine, il movimento alla stasi. Il motivo della barca evoca visioni di vite e futuri incerti.
Alcune sedute e un pianoforte bruciato per un fantomatico pubblico, in un reticolo di fili neri, raccontano il silenzio che segue alla distruzione.
Accumulation - Searching for the Destination composta da centinaia di valigie oscillanti, simbolo di ricordo, spostamenti, migrazioni e archetipo del viaggio compiuto da ciascuno di noi.
Reflection of Space and Time che utilizza un abito e la sua immagine specchiata per riflettere sulla presenza nell'assenza.
Il soffitto all'entrata della mostra...
Il filo (nero o rosso) è il suo medium principale, usato sia in installazioni immersive sia in disegni ad inchiostro su carta che non sono bozzetti decorativi, ma opere autonome.
Tema: la mente come spazio aggrovigliato, la memoria come rete instabile.

The Soul Trembles di Chiharu Shiota
A collection of photos from the exhibition dedicated to the artist Chiharu Shiota (at the MAO in Turin) titled 'The Soul Trembles', featuring a number of site-specific installations that evoke memories, emotions, images and dreamlike visions.
The red threads and then black threads become tangled, intertwine and break, reflecting the artist’s state of mind. An immersion in which fascination alternates with unease, movement with stillness. The motif of the boat evokes visions of uncertain lives and futures.
A few chairs and a burnt piano for an imaginary audience, set against a backdrop of black wires, convey the silence that follows destruction.
Accumulation – Searching for the Destination, comprising hundreds of swinging suitcases, a symbol of memory, movement and migration, and an archetype of the journey undertaken by each of us.
Reflection of Space and Time, which uses a dress and its mirror image to reflect on presence within absence.

Thread (black or red) is his primary medium, used both in immersive installations and in ink drawings on paper, which are not merely decorative sketches but stand-alone works.
Theme: the mind as a tangled space, memory as an unstable network.
